Supplier Management
  • The planning and implementation of an international supplier management system for a company in the supplier industry. In addition to setting up a sound supplier database as a basis for future strategic decisions, projects concerning risk management, make or buy, relocations as well as supplier & process audits were successfully concluded for all global locations.
Material Group Management
  • Optimisation of indirect purchasing for a mediumsized enterprise through the introduction of a strategic management system for fluids, tools and spare parts by pooling required quantities, reducing the number of suppliers, optimising supply contracts, all of which resulted in lower purchase prices.
  • The successful implementation within an international company of diverse optimisation measures developed for the following product groups: mechatronics, plastics, steel and C-parts. Based on the analysis of the current supply portfolio and the key suppliers as well as on strategic procurement markets, new sources were found, a reliable supply ensured and the suppliers consolidated.
  • The introduction of a global strategy for the procurement of production tools/equipment was implemented for diverse manufacturing companies in various sectors, for example, the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, taking into consideration the high quality and logistics requirements in the relevant procurement areas. The positive results following this not only contributed to increasing liquidity but also helped to establish new global business relations.
Global Sourcing
  • A total cost analysis led to the introduction and implementation of global sourcing activities for some suppliers regarding selected procurement materials like, for example, cold formed and turned parts, plastics and electronics. Not only part prices and quality were analysed, but an assessment of the entire supply chain was made. The respective potentials succeeded in giving our client competitive advantages which were applied effectively in the acquisition of new projects.
  • A market analysis of the Asian, EMEA and American regions for production tools and equipment provided our client with an important insight into the area of plastic and metal processing for their future procurement strategies, especially concerning sophisticated and highly complex technologies.
Procurement Control
  • In consideration of long-term company objectives, TüCon Management has introduced several different systems of control in the purchasing divisions of several customers, particularly in the metal and plastic processing industries. The aim of these strategies was to ensure a company's liquidity in the short term by flash reports, the implementation of an effective control system supplying economic data and the optimisation of payment targets.
Business Development
  • In the area of Business Development we have advised several international clients concerning the foundation and setting up of procurement and project offices and have assisted in intensifying their business relations with Asia and the Middle East.
